What day is the ride on this year?
Saturday, November 4th, 2017. First group of riders (on 60-mile route) will set off at 8 AM.
Do I need to bring food and water for the ride?
The Central Texas Community Ride will have rest stops along the course with food and water, but feel free to carry some with you. We also recommend you eat breakfast. Make sure to fuel up before the race!
Will there be toilets en route?
Yes, there will be toilets at each rest stop plus additional toilets at the brewery for before and after the ride.
How can family and friends participate?
Here are a few ways they can participate:
They can register for the ride with you. We have multiple routes catering to all levels of cyclists.
Purchase a spectator pass. This will allow them to participate in the post-ride festivities with you, including food, drinks, and music.
Volunteer. We’ll have several morning-only volunteer shifts that would allow them to come to the event with you, keep busy while you ride, get a free t-shirt and food, then attend the post-ride festivities with you. Contact us for volunteer opportunities.
Will I need to bring my ID?
Yes. You should always have personal ID when you ride, as well as a copy of your medical card. Also we’ll need to verify you’re over the age of 21 to enjoy those cold brews at the end.
Is there an age limit for participating in the ride?
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
What happens in the event of severe weather on ride day?
The event will take place rain or shine. If the weather becomes too severe, the ride will be cancelled for the safety of all riders. No refunds will be issued. All profits will still go to our beneficiary, #DontFeartheFinger.
What happens if I’ve registered for the ride but I’m no longer able to participate?
You can transfer your registration to another person up to 14 days before the ride. Alternatively, you can donate your registration fee and have a friend pick up your t-shirt and goody bag. No refunds will be issued.
Can I pick up packets for friends, relatives or team members at the packet pick-up locations?
Yes. We allow friends and family members to pick up packets for others.
What if I can’t make it to packet pick up?
No problem. We’ll be ready for you near the start line on the morning of the ride. We recommend you arrive early since out-of-town riders will also be picking up their packets on the morning of the ride.
Can I print the required waivers and bring them to packet pick up for faster registration?
Absolutely! You can print the ACR Waiver and Release form here.
